A fantastic initiative from Cllr Allen Gage (Willaston & Rope Ward), ably helped last Satuday by Dr Kieran Mullan MP and friends. Following concerns from local residents, this fenced alleyway, that links Derwent Close to Willaston Primary Academy, was looking tired, unkempt and overgrown! After an initial trim of the worst of the weeds, the weathered fence panels are being treated to a restorative paint job!
A whopping 27 of the 32 panels were completed in one session and the rest are scheduled for finishing off this week (weather permitting), together with the safe removal of the rest of the weed growth before it takes over the pathway!
Dr Kieran Mullan MP said:
”It was great to lend a hand to @Allen Gage - Willaston & Rope Councillor with his latest ward action project getting this alleyway off Derwent Close in Willaston ship shape! Local residents nominated it for action. I know Allen is happy to tackle issues great and small locally!”
