As an Account Executive for Meeting Place, Robert helps deliver consultation and engagement projects across the North and Midlands. Working across a variety of sectors, he supports clients in understanding local perspectives, building relationships with key stakeholders, and navigating complex policy and political environments.
Before joining the team, he worked in the Home Office and later for a Member of Parliament, gaining first-hand experience of policymaking and government. Robert's passion for local government and public affairs stems from his experience as a grassroots campaigner, having served as both a political candidate and campaign manager. He holds a degree in International Politics and Policy from the University of Liverpool and a master’s degree in political science from the University of Manchester. Through his academic and professional experience, Robert has developed a strong interest in the relationship between policy, governance and community engagement.
Outside of politics, Robert is a keen chess player with an ELO rating of around 1600 and enjoys the strategic challenge the game provides. To his friends, he is a devoted follower of Crewe Alexandra, although he will happily admit that away days are often as much about catching up with friends and enjoying a pint of lager as they are about the football itself.
